Deity of the Desert Reviewed Five Star - On Sale!

I've touched on this a bit in recent posts, but felt I should give it its own article for sake of exposure, and now have another excellent reason to. The first two volumes of my High Fantasy Monster Girl Breeding Erotic Romance are available for .99c for a limited time, and have also been rated highly.

I've set them to .99c for a time after a solid period of getting little to no love. With prices lower than the usual $2.99 mark, authors only receive 35% of royalties, so it has to sell several copies to match up to the sale of one sale at the $2.99 70% royalty mark. That's all very math, and I have spreadsheets and calculators to do math so there'll be no more of that. Instead; some feelings.

What I want to do with the Deity series is write with a broad spectrum of fantasy races for those who have always enjoyed the cross-combination of races. It's a very traditional fantasy, D&D, mythology and fairy tales sort of thing and I know it has an audience that want to see more fun and interaction with races such as lamia, harpies and draconic women, and maybe some that have never considered it, but they have to be found first. so perhaps this will help awareness that it's here.

The latest installment, is one of my latest works and perhaps more of a niche on it's erotic content, so I'm okay with leaving that at the $2.99 mark, but the other two volumes cultivate their own characters and world even if you leave out the culmination. While I'm bias as the author, it really is an amusingly sweet and happy ending for the trilogy, leaving all three to be picked up at the $4.99 mark for three volumes of rich erotica.

But don't take just my word for it, they've also received reviews!

Out of the ordinary and out of this world

Beautifully written like a piece out of time and place, it makes me think of lovely fantasy and scifi tales I'd read long ago, but with totally shiver-inducing eroticism.

I'm completely susceptible to tales of breeding and exotic monster (or monsterish) women, yet that doesn't necessarily mean I'm prone to go easy on the two. However, the crafting of them both in this story is as good as it gets. I was surprised by how much it resonated with me, and how it continues to hang in the back of my mind.

Astrid is the kind of fantasy woman I yearn for, there's no use in denying that. Her curiously inhuman good looks, her abnormally hot embrace, and her unquenchable lust all mask a strength and power that makes her anything but a mindless breeder. I'm smitten with her.

I couldn't help but be inspired reading this, and I suspect there'll be more than one story of my own that'll take life from that seed.

Normally I don't reach much these days with my busy schedule, but I'll be looking forward to squeezing in more time for this authors tales. With this introduction at only 99c, I can't recommend it enough. If you like the topics explored in this at all -- breeding, submission, inhuman half-breed women -- get it.

New character obsession for me, and the plot progresses

A great followup to the first part, it opens with a very steam sexy scene that holds back nothing.

The author has a beautiful way with words, and manages to turn a spanking into something so involved and poetic.

Though the sex ends and the story moves on, the sensuality that pervades the remainder is rich. And I could go on about the lashing of the young woman and how how it was, instead I found myself fixated on the introduction of the Queen herself.

The power and grace of that woman, that was accentuated so well in the writing, jumps off the page and I'm desperately hoping that something more comes of her in the future with this series.

Tremendous followup, highly recommend this. Will definitely be following this tale, it's so far rich with well crafted writing and characters I adore and am fascinated by. 

But don't just take our word for it. Here's a late-coming star from the third volume's thoughts, too.

This release has some interesting story behind it, and I'm really happy with how it's all worked out. It's been a bit of a challenge for me, but very enjoyable. Initially I pushed to see if I could finish it off in May so I could have four published in that month. Didn't quite hit the mark, but considering when I really got down into it, the turnaround has been very good - even for the better.

While I don't really expect anyone to know of 'Monster Girl Quest', the massive 'eroge' RPG series from Japan, it's something with a pretty big fan base worldwide and acclaim for its story and music as much as erotic content. The third installment - reportedly larger than the prior two games combined - released yesterday on June 1st. Once I'd found that out, I made it a mission to release this next installment of my own 'Monster Girl' erotica in tribute, and just managed to hit the mark.

'Monster Girls' in general is a pretty big take on classic fantasy creatures like the more commonly known mermaid and minotaur, and many others like the half-snake lamia I have planned for the next volume. While there's nothing Japan won't turn into a cute girl, it creates some interesting mythos and creatures (that can of course have male equivalents penned in) you might not have considered. Kind of a step beyond the standard paranormal vampire and werewolf fare. While my mascot sprite is a vampire, it's the model from 'Monstergirl Encyclopedia', so there's some subtle ties to that broader range of mythical creatures and fantasy for me. 

Now while I draw inspiration from those mythical fantasy cross-races, and do cameo some of them in unaltered form to give a relatable, 'different' world, I do what I always intend to do with my writing. I adapt and take it further out into being purely original content and my own work. As you might see from the cover image or having read either volume of Deity of the Desert, there's nothing all that 'monstrous' about Astrid. She has a pretty mean temper sometimes and a monstrous desire to breed, sure, but she's very human. What I've done in Astrid is taken one of those fantasy races and shift several generations of breeding with humans down the line with it. 

This makes her more accessible and sexy while keeping her wild and exotic nature. It also gives her some backing to what she's doing and how vulnerable her character can get. She's neither ancient salamander or perfectly human, but Nathan still loves her. Similarly, the race she's descended from is little more than legend now, so the desire to breed and continue her bloodline is pretty strong in her on that bestial level.

Content wise the synopsis covers it to the most part. I'm reluctant to use words like 'breeding' and 'Daddy' on Amazon incase it triggers getting filtered, but that's a big part of it. With how the couple relate, there is a bit of a 'Daddy dom' or 'Daddy's little girl' air between them that Astrid enjoys playing with all too much. I had to stop and consider whether I wanted to tag it as pseudo-incest, but not quite. I used Daddy's Girl as a keyword, so I'm sure people will get the idea without crossing too many wires

This release was quite fun to write, and went through an interesting process, again. Not such a stark re-write as with Soulflame, my recent sisterly incest publication, but this again was originally a story challenge piece that I wanted to expand and re-edit for publishing. About half way through that process I thought to myself "what if I were to focus more on the first half as its own thing, giving me a quicker release and readers more flexibility on what content they want?"

Most of those principles made it through, but it was no quicker than writing from scratch. What this means for me is I have basically a draft of the second half of this lying around with completely different sexual content that may not be as appealing as the sexy scenes I got into this one. For readers, that means there's a new release out right now, and full of M/F sex with breeding tones and fantasy races.

Yes indeed, I wanted to try and get in on the breeding theme a bit with this one. I think it helps somewhat that Astrid isn't entirely human. For all I understand the kink, it seems a more natural thing to say and feel when at least one - ideally the one receiving! - isn't quite human and can easily run with that sort of animalistic theme. Maybe I'm still thinking into the meaning behind the kink too much but I can't much help it, it's otherwise only used when referring to animals.

As I tried to convey a bit with the cover image, aside from that the tweaks on the eye are so small you can barely see it in smaller resolutions, Astrid is a more interracial / interspecies, bestial crossbreed of a humanoid race. Purpose behind it was to play on some of the implications and less-than-human connotations attached to 'breeding'. As a result, Astrid can have a very sharp temper, an almost wild and feral nature to her actions and above all a devotion to the man she loves. That devotion includes the instinctive need to feel him mate and breed with her like she's a bitch in heat. In her unique diluted monster girl sort of way, she is, but she's still relatable as a mostly human woman with needs and emotions. 

It made her fun and pretty unique to write. Without spoiling much, the second installment will venture more into size play and a (relatively, nothing too over the top macro, as far as can be stretched without breaking) giant counterpart to their fun. That's part of the reason I released this first half here and now, as that second might not be to everyone's tastes, so to bunch it all in on one release would take up a considerable amount more time and likely put some readers off.
